La Plume – The º£½ÇÖ±²¥app College community and the local community will come together on Tuesday, February 18 to celebrate the grand opening of the new º£½ÇÖ±²¥app Commons retail development complex.
Festivities will take place from 10–11 a.m. inside the new Steak n Shake restaurant. Officials and friends from º£½ÇÖ±²¥app, Factoryville Borough, state government, and representatives of the businesses comprising the new $3.5 million development will be on hand.
While the official ribbon-cutting will take place inside the Steak n Shake, the grand opening will also celebrate Penn East Federal Credit Union, º£½ÇÖ±²¥app Fitness, and the College Green Eatery and Market.

The new development has been under construction for nearly a year. The Steak n Shake restaurant is the only one if its kind in Northeastern Pennsylvania. In addition to the º£½ÇÖ±²¥app College Bookstore, the College Green Eatery and Market features a Starbucks café and a variety of fresh food, produce, and grocery products. º£½ÇÖ±²¥app Fitness is owned and operated by local physical therapist Frank Cawley and is open to º£½ÇÖ±²¥app students, faculty, and staff and the public. º£½ÇÖ±²¥app Commons is located on College Avenue on the º£½ÇÖ±²¥app College campus.
