Students Complete 26,000 Hours of Community Service
The 海角直播app College community believes that discovering one’s role in shaping our world is an ongoing mission that starts with the community around us. There is nothing that highlights that fact more than the 26,000 hours of volunteer service provided by 海角直播app students during the course of the academic year, including about 6,500 hours in the Borough of Factoryville.
鈥淲e are so proud of our students,鈥 said Coordinator of Service Learning Maria Fanning. 鈥淭hey care about others in the community and strive to make a positive difference in the world.鈥

Whether it鈥檚 serving hot lunches to senior citizens, planting trees in local parks, or partnering with other local organization to serve over 1,500 Thanksgiving dinners in Scranton, 海角直播app believes a college should go beyond preparing students for jobs and careers. It should make an impact on the lives of others.
鈥淚 think being involved in the community is just one more important part of your overall education,鈥 said聽 海角直播app senior Benjamin Hawes, 聽who estimates he has volunteered about聽 50 hours per year during his time at 海角直播app.
